Multiple Sclerosis, Cape Cod Getaway

Getting ready for the race. Howard is at the Quincy Harbor, with the 1,700 other riders. I didn't realize so many people were supportive of the Multiple Sclerosis foundation. It is comforting to know that there are other people who want to help us find a cure. Howard rides the bike brand "Specialized."

Howard and Mikaela at the end of the ride on Saturday. You can see how humid it is, there is a haze to the picture. We are at the Massachusetts Maritime Academy in Bourne. There are about 1,650 bikes parked here. Howard's is in the back of our van. He is going to come home with us and sleep, then arrive back here at 6:00 in the morning, to bike over the Bourne bridge and then onto the Cape.

All in all, Howard did 78 miles in two days. He is a bit saddle sore, but he feels really good about his accomplishments. We are all very proud of him. One lady in a Mercedes SUV tried to finish his race early, but he avoided the collision.

We are getting a team together for next year. Anyone up for the challenge?
